As we join for Rev. Jane’s last Sunday before her sabbatical, we take time to reflect upon the Sabbath.  What does it mean to honor and sanctify time, instead of place, thing, or object? How can our faith deepen if we disengage from the tangible and instead attend to contemplative engagement with the divine?

This Sunday, we explore a dichotomy of stories as we reflect upon the teachings and values of Martin Luther King Jr., contrasted with those of prevailing current events. Will we choose love or hate? Justice or injustice? Faith or fear? Join us as we cultivate both wisdom and inspiration towards nurturing and fostering a just and compassionate world.

This Sunday, we garner insight and wisdom from L. Frank Baum’s The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.  Through the magical narration, we travel with a group of newfound friends, focusing on two prevailing themes. First, they undertook an arduous, mistaken journey to find a power of which they already held deep within. Second, while on this journey, they do together what none could do alone.
