What Is the Lutheran Church? (Or: Did a Diet of Worms Really Trigger the Reformation?)

So …,  we’re sharing a Lutheran Church space. What is the Lutheran Church? Join us on a tour through the life of Martin Luther and the origins of Lutheranism, with a brief side trip through the denomination in the present day. We’ll also take a look at some of the symbolism and liturgical accoutrements in the  sanctuary. See what you already know, and whether there’s something you’ve missed!

Visible and Vulnerable

Join us on Sunday for a service in recognition of International Transgender Day of Visibility. We’ll hold transgender and gender nonconforming people in the soft light of our 1st Principle (through which we covenant to affirm and promote “the inherent worth and dignity of every person”) and our March theme of “vulnerability.”

Love at Our Center

We’ll reflect on how love lies at the center of Unitarian Universalism, where all our other common values meet; and finding love at our own center, where we connect to everything around us. And we’ll cap off “Love month” with a ritual sharing of chocolate.

From Stillness to Imagination

In December we rounded off our year with an exploration of what it means to be a people of Stillness. Turning the page on the calendar year, we also turn our attention to January’s theme of Imagination. Join us this coming Sunday as we cross the bridge from Stillness to Imagination.
