“The Indigenous Art of Listening” with Rev. Jane Bennett Smith
This Sunday, we explore indigenous wisdom on the sacred art of listening. We are taught to listen to the history of the land, to ancient stories, to the tales held in the whispers of nature, and to the wisdom of the elders. Just as important is the learned practice of listening to silence. As we honor Indigenous People’s Day, we apply this sacred craft of listening to the Indigenous Peoples of this nation, hearing the marginalized as a catalyst to the work of healing and justice.
